WEEK 7

the HOME

“FLOWERS & WINE” by LESLIE WEAVER // This piece, like the work I shared in Week 2, is just the right amount of feminine.

FRENCH FAUX BAMBOO DRESSER // This early 20th-century commode de toilette (or, for the uninitiated, dresser) is a stunner. Open to find a marble-lined interior complete with a mirror.

“LEISURE IN ROSE” by DANIEL FACÓN // I cannot get enough of Daniel Facón’s “Portraits” series. To this San Antonio girl, they feel nostalgic.

MELON SLIM VASE // Darling bud vases! Local Sources: Blue Print (Austin, TX & Dallas, TX)

LANDS DOWNUNDER HERRINGBONE THROW // I’m always on the hunt for throws, and this one is a cult-favorite that seems to pop up at most home + gift stores. Local Sources: A’mano (Birmingham, AL), similar at Sunset & Co. (San Antonio, TX)

GLASS WATERING CAN // Currently in need of a watering, can and this one is divine.

the KITCHEN

GLASS STRAWS, SET of FOUR // You know how everything tastes better via a straw? Everything tastes even better via a glass straw. Local Sources: Blue Print (Austin, TX & Dallas, TX)

*LAGUIOLE BOTTLE OPENER // Pair with your host’s favorite beverage (ours is Topo Chico if anyone is wondering) for a thoughtful hostess gift. Local Sources: A’mano (Birmingham, AL)

TRAVEL TUMBLER // Japanese lifestyle brand Kinto delivers thoughtful design with delicious minimalism. This hardworking tumbler made of powder-coated steal with a two-part lid (for a leak-proof seal, pouring management, and easy-carry) is no exception.

LE CREUSET ENAMELED SAUTE PAN // Le Creuset offers over a hundred colors, but this orange — “flame” — was the first produced by the company, which was the first in enameled oven game. Local Sources: Sunset & Co. (San Antonio, TX), Sgt. Pepper’s (Midland, TX)

DRINK BOX // Local Sources: UpMarket (San Antonio, TX)

SLOW-DRIED BUSIATE PASTA // Big pasta people. Love sampling different, niche brands and always discover fun options on Food52.

the TABLE

SABRE BISTROT FLATWARE // My favorite flatware is back in a toasty orange! Local Sources: Big Night (Brooklyn, NY)

*FLOWER NAPKIN // This morning, I was attempting to set the table for an impromptu brunch and felt woefully understocked on tablescape accessories. I think I need to adjust my buying strategy and commit to building out a single color story rather than buying whatever makes my heart sing (incidentally, most things).

*TOTEM CANDLES // These are so fun, and need not be limited to your table. We have a faux fireplace that I’d love to style with these in white. Local Sources: Prelude & Dawn

ORANGE CAKE STAND // As I daydream about baking my boyfriend a cake for his 30th — though I know the Publix carrot cake would probably be a bigger hit (IYKYK) — I also daydream about a collection of cake stands that includes this darling spatterware option.

the CLOSET

MINI JEANNIE // It gives Hermès without, you know, Hermès pricing.

LONGCHAMP LARGE LE PLIAGE RECYCLED TRAVEL TOTE // Longchamp was my gateway bag into the tote world and they are the MVP of traveling. I’ll fold one up (duh) and stick it in my suitcase for the highly likely scenario in which I buy beyond the capacity of my rolling bag.

OV EXERCISE DRESS // OV’s O.G., Ty Haney, still has a few things she’d like to say after her dramatic exit three years ago. I’m kind of bummed to learn that Outdoor Voices is now, as the kids would say, basic, but it’s still the only athleisure/actual athletic wear I wear and the Exercise Dress is no exception.

TORY BURCH SHERPA FLEECE VEST // I’ve had this saved for a while and was bummed to see that it was no longer available. A quick keyword search on Google and found one on Poshmark!

the VANITY

LA ROCHE POSAY VITAMIN C SERUM // Slowly dipping my toe back into the waters of advanced skincare (which, to me is anything beyond moisturizing and washing my face), and all I have to say is I love the way this smells.

CLOUD PAINT BLUSH // I love makeup you can apply with your hands, and this was certainly a favorite back in the heyday of Glossier.

MARIO BADESCU FACIAL SPRAY // This is in my beach bag for the literal two times a year I go to the beach. It’s an instant refresh on a hot, sunny, sandy day.

*FRAMA HERBARIUM LOTION // Super luxe hand cream is a go-to gift. It’s something most would never purchase but really love. Local Sources: Camelback Flowershop (Phoenix, AZ)

the ETC.

FORBIDDEN FRUIT PUZZLE // I’m yearning for a proper rainy day. Preferably on a Saturday, so I don’t have to endure the guilt of lazing away a workday with a puzzle and a show. Pro Tip: Style with coffee table books.

THE MONOCLE BOOK OF GENTLE LIVING // A guide to gentle living? Say no more.

EVIL GENIUS JOURNAL // Traditionally, I opt for an unlined Moleskin, but this journal is incredible.

“EVERY ROOM SHOULD SING” by BEATA HEAUMAN // Think whimsical and wonderfully layered. Beata Herman does lived-in, playful-yet-adult style incredibly.

CULTIVATED // Florals!

*ORANGE SILHOUETTE FLORAL WRAPPING PAPER // I’m more of a white craft paper kind of wrapping girl, but this is really pretty.
