WEEK 18

the HOME

FLAMELESS GEO PILLAR CANDLE // I have a faux fireplace that’s begging for these!

WASHED WAFFLE WAVE COMFORTER SET // I don’t know where my love for waffle fabrics began, but I’m eager to see where it ends.

PAPER-EFFECT BASKET // If you love Uashmama, you’ll love these.

VASE IN GLASS // Picked this up at Duh in Pensacola, a delightful shop that feels reminiscent of Tiny Boxwoods and Thompson & Hanson. It’s a must-shop if you’re anywhere near Pensacola. But, more about this vase. It’s massive and absolutely perfect. Local Sources: Duh! (Pensacola, FL)

the TABLE

WHITE RESIN SALAD SERVERS // These are even more stunning in person, and would make for a great hostess gift or addition to your own table. Local Sources: Linen & Sand (Seagrove Beach, FL), P.S. The Letter (Fort Worth, TX).

EYELET WHITE NAPKIN //

TWIDDLE TUMBER (SET of SIX”) // Can confirm: Zafferano glassware is divine.

MERCER WHITE ROUND DINNER PLATES // These every-day approved plates are hardworking, durable, and dishwasher-friendly. I love the way they look stacked on open shelving (sort of an undone look) and on the table.

CAVIAR SPOON SET // I use mine on cheeseboards for provisions and toppings.

UNSCENTED PILLAR CANDLES // Style in glass hurricanes on a clean, simple table or around the entrance to your house for a dinner party.

WHITE COCKTAIL NAPKINS // My cousin just got an embroidery machine and I’m poised to follow in her footsteps so I can customize these cocktail napkins. I love personalized gifts but hate the planning ahead it requires.

BAMBOO SILVERWARE // My parents are hosting Thanksgiving and I’m responsible for the table. As I’m neurotic and must have everything match, we “needed” a new set of flatware. This was the right price point for a set we’ll use on special occasions or for larger dinner parties. Wouldn’t recommend for every day use unless you like to hand wash your flatware.

PARTY TUMBLER GLASS (SET of SIX) // Recently ordered these in white from Food52. They are perfection and I’m drinking way more water. Full disclosure, I ordered these in white but received clear. Twice. Food52 customer service was fabulous — they sent me a replacement at no cost and let me keep the first. The replacement, however, was also clear, so now I have 2 sets of clear which is honestly better anyway. Story time over. Thanks for coming to my TEDtalk.

PERLE SNACK BOWLS (SET of SIX) // Snack time, elevated.

MINI CHEESE SET // The perfect gift for those who love to entertain.

HANDMADE CERAMIC BOWL 5410 by MONTES DOGGETT // No one can convince me I don’t need this.

*WHITE CERAMIC CANDLE TAPER HOLDER // Local Sources: Juxtaposition Home (Newport Beach, CA)

CORDLESS LAMP (PACK of TWO) // Here’s my hack: these cordless lamps work (and look!) just as perfect as the Poldina by Zafferano.

LARGE METAL BEVERAGE TUB // For your Thanksgiving and holiday entertaining needs!

the CLOSET

WHITE WAFFLE WEAVE SLIPPERS // In preparation for holiday guests (of which, so far, we have none planned), I think about the elements I appreciate in hotels. This might be a bit personal for a guest room in your home, but it's the thought that counts — especially if you don’t have an ensuite bathroom. On the other hand, it’s slipper season and these are delicious.

the VANITY

NO. 12 BOUSVAL CANDLE // Everyone knows and loves No. 4, but let me tell you about their other scents: they are fabulous. Local Sources: Parasol (Alys Beach, FL).

the ETC.

WHITE KRAFT PAPER // Instead of holiday-themed wrapping paper, I buy white Kraft paper which serves me throughout the year for birthdays and one-off gifts. I also love the really clean, seamless look it offers our thoroughly white home. Pair with a neutral bow. Pro Tip: Assign everyone in your family a different colored bow to negate the need for gift tags and add more color under your tree.
