WEEK 19
‘Tis the season for gift guides. And as I currently have 25 client gift guides in my queue, I’m feeling a bit burnt out. That said, I am excited about the holiday season ahead. More specifically, I’m excited about the many decorating and entertaining opportunities it presents. In that vein, I’ve curated a selection of tablescape essentials for a coastal-inspired table. Unlike the autumnal and Christmas-themed round-ups overwhelming your feeds, items in this guide will serve you throughout the season.
the TABLESCAPE
BAMBOO WOOD FOLDING CHAIR // A must have if you’re into outdoor entertaining. I’ve borrowed from my friend so often that I probably just need to buy my own!
LINEN TABLE CLOTH // If you’re using folding tables, don’t make the mistake that I did and order tablecloths that are too short.
SALT & PEPPER SHAKERS // Love these.
LINEN FLAX NAPKINS // Ordered these for Thanksgiving, plan on using forever.
WOVEN PLACEMATS // Our side of the family is hosting Thanksgiving this year and because I don’t cook, I’m in charge of the table. With 13 guests, I had (okay, chose) to invest in more place settings. In search of cost-effective, neutral options, these woven placemats caught my eye. Can’t beat the quality at this price!
WOVEN BELLS // We’re neutral, natural, less-is-more Christmas people. Or at least I am, C would skip the holiday entirely if I let him. He rolled his eyes when I told him that I pre-ordered our Christmas tree (from a local nursery, of course) and reminded himself how much he loves me. This is our first year with enough room for a full-size tree, and I have visions of decorating it with these tiny bells, which would also be darling on your holiday table!
BAMBOO NAPKIN RINGS // Again, cute!
WOODEN BEAD NAPKIN RINGS // A set of four!
TEALIGHT or CUP HOLDER // Use these for cups you already have to add a bit of coastal flair or place tea lights in them for a similar effect.
BOHEME CANDLE HOLDER // Just picked up a few of these from new local favorite, Linen & Sand. Local Sources: Linen & Sand (Seagrove Beach, FL)
CONE CANDLE // Almost too cool to burn. Local Sources: Christopher Collection (Birmingham, AL)
the DRINKWARE
THERMAL CARAFE // Local Sources: Holiday Cafe (Alys Beach, FL).
WINE COOLER // Works just as well for keeping a large water cold!
SEAGRASS CARAFE // I’ve been anxiously awaiting the day I get to use this (we have an espresso maker, so no real need for a carafe). But I’m envisioning filling it with hot water to make hot chocolate for a backyard bonfire. Local Sources: Linen & Sand (Seagrove Beach, FL)
SEAGRASS TUMBLER, SMALL // Local Sources: Linen & Sand (Seagrove Beach, FL)
SEAGRASS TUMBLER, LARGE // Local Sources: Linen & Sand (Seagrove Beach, FL)
the SERVEWARE
SEAGRASS BOWLS // Local Sources: Linen & Sand (Seagrove Beach, FL)
BAMBOO PLATTER // For a Coastal Christmas.
BAMBOO SILVERWARE SET // Ordered these for Thanksgiving, very excited to use and like the price point.
WICKER STORAGE BASKETS // Would be equally as darling used for bread baskets as storage.
