WEEK 12

the HOME

EARLY 20TH CENTURY FRENCH BAMBOO MIRROR // I’ve been coveting this style of mirror for a long time. Still kicking myself for not picking up one of the five Willow Fine Goods had in-store while I was in Phoenix last week! Local Sources: Willow Fine Goods (Phoenix, AZ)

*LOUNGING IN FLOWERS by HAYLEY MITCHELL // Allison Crawford introduced me to Haley Mitchell back in 2018 (give or take a year) and I have adored her ever since. She’s lovely and super talented. Follow on Instagram for sneak peeks at her art styled in her chic home.

CASHMERE WOOL THROW // A sumptuous find that’s 25% off.

*BLOCK PRINT QUILT // It’s double-sided, so girl math says it’s a great deal.

TULIP TABLE // I’m a die-hard fan of the cult-favoeite tulip table designed by Eero Saarinen (in 1956, if you were wondering). I have a marble one “in the style of” (an important distinction) but this walnut option is equally lovely. Sasha, if you’re reading this, I think you need this table for your breakfast nook…

*RUST ABSTRACT by LAUREN LIEBERG // Lauren is a new-to-me artist from Nashville. I love her abstracts (and her dog!). Local Sources: Layered by Paige Elise (Laguna Beach, CA)

KIRBY STOOL // The curves! The color! Stools are a great investment. They’re both practical (for reaching the tippy top of shelves) and great styling tools. Place in front of a larger piece of furniture to create dimension and top with smaller books (in a singular colorway) to complete the vignette.

*DIABLO SCONCE // I have a polished nickel version of these sconces (from a different maker) in my primary bathroom, and love them. If you were wondering, they are a great option for a bathroom and provide great lighting.

RECHARGEABLE POLDINA SCONCE // Zafferano’s table lamp’s cooler older sister. Not sure the context in which I could personally use them, but has that ever stopped me?

the TABLE

HORSEBIT NAPKIN RINGS // These are so chic, you’re welcome.

BAMBOO CANDLESTICK // Love the juxtaposition of brass and bamboo.

*RIGO E STELLA SERVING BOWL // Fall begs for rich tones like this chocolate-hued serving bowl, making it perfect for your autumn tablescape!

SPONGEWARE DINNER PLATE // I’ve been eying this hand-painted spongeware from Tory Burch for a longtime. It seems like it would play well with others (and by others I mean other dinnerware styles).

BAMBOO FOLD OUT CHAIR // While it’s a chair, it’s best categorized under “the TABLE” because it’s an absolute staple for large-scale entertaining.

ESPRESSO LINEN NAPKINS // Brown for fall? Groundbreaking. Local Sources: Hudson Grace (Multiple Locations)

the VANITY

TEASING BRUSH // The essential tool for a sleek, middle-part ponytail with volume.

DIFFUSER OIL // Bought this on a whim and was super pleased with the scent. Sort of a Maison Louis Marie No. 4 meets Diptyque Santal. So obviously I bought more. Can’t go wrong with Santal, Rose, or Neroli. I use it in a diffuser, but you could get away with using it as a perfume.

SACHAJUAN LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER // I have super thin hair and thus use conditioner sparingly. Instead, I opt for a leave-in conditioner, and have been happy with this one for years. It smells great, by the way.

the CLOSET

CROCODILE EMBOSSED CARD CASE // Still reeling from the destruction of my last card case. I love the style and price point of this one. Wonder if it will be as effective at protecting my card from pitbull teeth as the YSL. Hopefully I never find out.

CASHMERE SWEATER // I am manifesting sweater season, even though it feels woefully weeks (and weeks and weeks) away.

SUEDE BUCKET BAG // Typically, I prefer to invest in bags I can wear regardless of the season. And while this J.Crew option feels distinctly fall (the suede! the rich brown color!), I’m reconsidering.

LAFLOID LAPTOP CASE // I wish I’d used a laptop case from the moment I purchased my last laptop, but I’m glad I waited so I can convince a loving friend to send me a personalized version of this as a very thoughtful gift. Speaking of gifts, The GoTo is a fabulous source for unique, interesting gifts for your unique, interesting friends. And on a somewhat related note, their branding makes me want to redo all of mine!

*POPLIN POP BUTTON DOWN // I first fell in love with the brand Donni for their Pearl Choker and spent many hours trying to recreate their invisible clasp. Anyway.. the founder Alyssa Wasko is really cute and I’ve enjoyed following along with the success of her brand. They make great, classic, elevated basics and this popover is no exception.

the ETC.

MALIBU CONVERSATION GAME // Pull out at Thanksgiving when the conversation starts to head towards politics or religion. Thank me later.

*CHOCOLATE PINSTRIPE WRAPPING PAPER // I take my gift wrapping very seriously, and while I typically opt for a white on white scheme (shocking, I know), I am very tempted by this chocolate pinstripe. But that’s the thing with Ruby Stripe, all of their wrapping paper is tempting.

WHAT GREAT PAINTINGS SAY // Authors Rose-Marie and Rainer Hagen put the world’s great works under a magnifying glass to reveal their sheer wealth of detail and make you sound like the art expert you probably aren’t.
