WEEK 34

BLOOMSBURY WALLPAPER // Still wondering if I should wallpaper my powder room…

PACIFICA OUTDOOR PENDANT // Use it indoors, use it outdoors, I don’t care. Just use it somewhere, someone, please. It’s so fabulous.

THE ARTIST’S WAY: A SPIRITUAL PATH TO HIGHER CREATIVITY // Left feeling a bit dull and uninspired, I pulled out The Artist’s Way last week. Admittedly, I started the “way” in 2021, but never finished. However, the author’s prescription of writing three pages each morning truly changed my life. Two years later, I’ve picked up the practice again, and I’m struggling to remember why I stopped writing. As an individual — not just an artist — it’s one of the most impactful things I’ve ever done for my mental health. I cannot recommend it enough. Please, please, please try it and let me know how it goes.

14K GOLD DIAMOND DROP EARRINGS // Forever looking to add to my earring collection, though I rarely switch out my favorites. Saks Off Fifth is one of my favorite places to find new additions, as they’re always having a sale! Psst! Take 25% off the current 50% sale on these with code OFF and get free shipping with code SHIPSO5.

TWO-TONED BOROSILICATE GLASS // Sunshine-inspired glassware for your sunshine-inspired tablescape.

LINEN FLORAL PRINT NAPKIN // I found these vintage plates at a thrift store a few weeks back and happily brought all two boxes worth of plates home. That said, I’m still looking for the linens and accessories to pair them with (and random Etsy and Ebay listings to secure a full set). And while these aren’t exactly what I’m envisioning, I’m thoroughly enjoying the hunt for the right match.

SUMMER SUNGLASSES // An Amazon pair of sunnies I’ve fallen in love with. I’m shocked at the quality and really digging the fact that I don’t have to take them off to unlock my phone.

KINFIELD BUG SPRAY // Gone are the days where I’ll endure a bug bite here or there. So, exclusively spend time behind a screen (the porch kind, not the electronic kind, but now that we’re talking about it, I should probably limit that kind) or doused in Kinfield bug spray. It’s DEET-free, really effective, and gently scented.

STRIPED COTTON & LINEN CUSHION COVER // If you don’t know, now you know that H&M has a fantastic home section.

ROUND TRAY WITH HANDLES // I’m of the firm opinion that you can never have too many trays. And this petit find would be equally as darling for collecting matchbooks as a small loaf of bread for your table.

GLOW I.V. // Relying on this instead of a suntan for that quintessential summer glow.

GOYARD TOTE // Tis the year of my glow-up. And despite a rather underwhelming session with an Instagram stylist, I’m fully committed to upgrading my closet with staples I love — and will love for years to come. Thanks to a few stylish friends, it’s coming along fabulously. This Goyard is on my wishlist. Here’s another option.

FLOWERPOT RECHARGABLE LAMP // Tis also the year of rechargeable table lamps, apparently. This is a really fun option.

RUSH HOUSE RUG // Unfortunately, one of my dogs loved this rug a little too much. If we’re pointing fingers, it was Wilson, the doodle. He loves to “nest” and thinks it’s just the best rug for digging. That said, it’s one of my biggest design regrets that I didn’t save the pieces of the rug that he didn’t destroy, because one of the [many] beauties of Rush House rugs is their buildability. I’ll chalk that poor judgement call up to end-of-moving delirium. Highly recommend checking out one of these if you have an oversized or oddly shaped room, as the Rush House sew kits allow you to add (or replace) squares as needed.

BAMBOO FOLDING DIRECTOR’S CHAIR // Priced as a set of two, this is a really fun option for a rental or first-apartment dining chair.

JAPANESE GARDEN SHEARS // I keep one pair stashed in my car for a) protection [laughing at the visual] and b) clipping foliage along the side of the road. That is, when I feel confident enough that I don’t care that passersby think I’m an absolute lunatic dragging branches and palms back to my car.
